About the role
- Assist in managing Architecture team members and assist in managing project schedules.
- Assist in development of conceptual and schematic design packages.
- Develop, modify, and review construction documents.
- Coordinate with and advise clients throughout the construction phase of the project.
- Perform shop drawing and submittal reviews.
- Research and specify building materials, systems, and products.
- Research codes and verify code compliance.
- Provide Architecture Department construction contract administration and oversee/manage construction administration phase.
- Direct construction administration activities on projects and monitor project for construction document compliance.
- Take an active role in new business development; market Galloway’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals across the firm to support project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in architecture or environmental design, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically, 3-5 years of experience in the Interior Design field
- Strong knowledge of building systems, design standards, construction processes, and permitting/certification requirements.
- Experience with value engineering, project budgeting, scheduling, and managing construction timelines.
- Understands and coordinates with various agencies, disciplines, and engineering consultants to ensure successful project execution.
- Reviews and interprets construction documents, including pay applications, change orders, RFIs, and technical reports.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, COMcheck-EZ, and Microsoft Project.
