About the role
- Ensure customer needs and expectations are met by ensuring product quality, inventory levels, and staff interactions are in-line with or exceed expectations.
- Conducts regular interaction with clients, SCO management, Sales and on matters concerning review of current account, staffing levels, and project expansion.
- Work with Director of Supply Chain Operations on budgetary responsibility for the projects team and usually contributes to budgetary impact by regularly reviewing projects.
- Monitor expenses, identifies trends, and ensures operations are within budgetary guidelines.
- Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies and provide general guidelines and parameters for project supervisors and their direct reports.
- Monitor overall team metrics and evaluate level of service provided through established metrics.
- Build customer relationships and serve as the primary contact for responding to customer’s inquiries.
- Provide timely response to service failures and customer concerns.
- Provide technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures in compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Management responsibilities: Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments
- Day-to-day operations of a group of employees
- May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact
- Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
- Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning
- Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
Requirements
- Education Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience At least 5 years of supply chain or warehouse/inventory management experience from overall planning to execution of programs
- At least 3 years of project management and/or supervisory experience.
- Experience with dealing and negotiating with customers/vendors.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites required
