Quality Control

• Inspect component parts and completed product for conformance to process controls using visual inspection and various measuring tools of basic complexity
• Perform final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders being shipped
• Train production personnel in effective methods to control processes
• Perform internal process audits as required, report all findings
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering
• Assist team members in preparing and entering NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
• Write Customer Improvement Initiative (CII) for audits and assist employees who wish to report a problem requiring corrective action for repetitive problems
• Report violations of ISO standards to the Quality Manager
• Participate in the prototype review process for all newly developed products as needed
• Assist in the dimensional analysis of components to help identify potential quality issues
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Quality Control Inspector

Operator

• Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary
• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of machine operator tasks as needed
• Inspect all work for defects prior to passing it on to the next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms

Machine Operator I – A Shift

General

• Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products.
• Conduct Bin Maintenance as needed
• Unload incoming materials, check identification for quantities and part number, report shortages or damaged material, move to storage areas
• Move materials between cells, following routing, delivery tickets or orders
• Fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated cells
• Operate hand truck and powered lift trucks to move materials and stack loaded pallets
• Load outgoing trucks using hand truck or operating lift truck
• Accurately perform inventory transactions using the G&W business system
• Perform cycle counts as requested
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of material handler tasks as needed
• Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms as needed

Material Handler II

Material Handler II – Shipping

QA Engineer

• Develop, maintain, and improve all aspects of G&Ws quality program as it relates to production operations
• Review PPAP submissions, summarize, document and process, checking against organizational submission requirements
• Analyze and address metrology concerns on PPAP part dimensional analysis reports
• Track and summarize PPAP submission performance, facilitating feedback to suppliers for submission issues
• Managing the implementation of methods and procedures for process control and improvement to ensure products meet ideal standards
• Collaborating with the supplier quality team to address quality problems, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs
• Leading troubleshooting efforts for quality issues with diverse teams, conducting root cause analysis activities, and driving short-term and long-term corrective actions
• Participating in engineering design reviews and providing recommendations to enhance the quality and manufacturability of new designs
• Utilize Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential failure modes in processes and products
• Applying sound and systematic problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues
• Performing operational Material Review Board (MRB) walks and consolidating failure data for analysis
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and implement corrective actions
• Investigating first pass yield failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent similar failures from occurring in the future
• Ensuring containment activities are performed when non-conformances are discovered to prevent repeat issues
• Working as a team member on various cross-functional High Impact Project teams to address quality-related challenges
• Reporting quality issues, performance metrics, and status updates to management and other department team members as needed
• Conducting internal audits based on ISO 9001 standards to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Quality Engineer II

Manager

• Build and advance an integrated demand and supply planning function across North America
• Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, ensuring accurate short, medium, and long-term forecasts
• Own supply planning processes to ensure demand requirements are met while optimizing cost and inventory
• Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process
• Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and operational capabilities

Manager, Integrated Planning

Application Engineer

• Determine and document the technical and commercial requirements of the customers application
• Select the appropriate G&W product to meet these requirements
• Develop accurate cost models for both standard and custom equipment
• Determine price levels and lead times
• Partner with customers and our Engineering team to develop custom solutions that satisfy their needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our internal resources and Sales Team
• Provide timely and effective verbal and written communication to our internal resources and Sales Team
• Communicate these requirements to G&Ws internal teams for engineering and manufacturing

Application Engineer I

• Perform repetitive electrical testing preparation and testing tasks of basic complexity
• Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation
• Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed
• Separate non-conforming parts
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Electrical Tester I, 72KV

Engineer

• Interface with purchasing and vendors in the modification and approval of component parts.
• Construct and test prototype components or assemblies as required in the change Management, validation, and approval processes.
• Lead technical side of the project from the idea to the completion of the validation tests.
• Prepare written documentation of processes, material requirements, test results and project activity as required.
• Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage projects of minor to major size.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Prepare budgetary and resource information regarding projects or parts of projects in area of responsibility.
• Provide technical support to sales/marketing and manufacturing of new and existing products and processes.
• Design components for Medium Voltage switchgear per specification

Project Engineer I – Electrical

• Support product realization through cross-functional team collaboration
• Manage portions of the new product design process
• Lead portions of the design process, completing assigned tasks
• Develop schedules, coordinate and manage low complexity projects with little to no supervision
