About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interface with purchasing and vendors in the modification and approval of component parts.
Construct and test prototype components or assemblies as required in the change Management, validation, and approval processes.
Lead technical side of the project from the idea to the completion of the validation tests.
Prepare written documentation of processes, material requirements, test results and project activity as required.
Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage projects of minor to major size.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Prepare budgetary and resource information regarding projects or parts of projects in area of responsibility.
Provide technical support to sales/marketing and manufacturing of new and existing products and processes.
Design components for Medium Voltage switchgear per specification

Requirements

What you’ll need

Holds a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering
Has 0-3 years of Engineering experience
Possesses 0-3 years of CAD experience in creating 3D models and 2D prints
Is able to use small hand and power tools
Has experience with desktop software such as MS Office (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint & Access)
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have prior experience in CREO CAD System preferred.
Have experience with PDM database system, Windchill preferred.
Have experience with project management
Conduct root-cause analysis and computer analysis programs (FEA, kinematic & dynamic analysis).
Be able to create innovative designs.
Have a good understanding of statics and material properties.
Be able to read and interpret technical standards.
