About the role
- Serve as business/technical subject matter expert (SME) for technologies used across Warehouse, Distribution and Transportation teams
- Provide business/technical support to Corporate, Supply Chain, Distribution Center personnel for system initiatives, including testing and implementing new technologies or enhancements
- Support system upgrades and execution of new functionality
- Develop standardized processes, procedures, SOPs, and training materials for technologies
- Assist with development of KPIs and measurement tools; develop standardized reporting/dashboards
- Determine opportunities to redesign business processes to achieve better results
- Provide ongoing and formal group training (remote and/or on-site) and lead technical meetings
- Manage master data, audit technologies, troubleshoot user issues, and escalate to service providers or IT as needed
- Serve as primary day-to-day business/technical contact for technology service providers and field teams
- Work with departments to source and order cell phones/tablets and with Finance to review/process monthly cell phone invoices
- Monitor cell phone charges and resolve billing issues with outside service providers
- Assist in distribution center vehicle management and support various assigned projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2 - 5 years' operations (distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing) experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience
- Proficient in SAP, SQL, VBA, Tableau and MS Office Suite
- Experience in Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Vehicle Routing and Scheduling (VRS), Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)/on-board computers, various mobile applications
- Open and willing to learn new products/technologies
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use data to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global team environment with other technical teams
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Knowledge of transportation, supply chain management, and procurement processes
- Good customer focus and team negotiation skills
- Must comply with company drug-free workplace policies
