About the role
- Determine opportunities to automate, standardize and support business processes and functions across the business unit and various technologies
- Function as business IT liaison in accordance with business strategies
- Develop and support existing reporting and analytics to deliver cost and productivity savings
- Serve as business/technical SME for technologies utilized across Warehouse, Distribution and Transportation (e.g., TruBlu fleet)
- Provide business/technical support to Corporate, Supply Chain, Distribution Center personnel for system initiatives, including testing and implementing new technologies, functionality, or user enhancements
- Support future system upgrades and execution of new functionality
- Develop standardized processes, procedures, SOPs and training materials; provide on-going remote and/or on-site training and lead group training sessions
- Assist with the development of KPIs and measurement tools; develop standardized reporting/dashboards as per business needs
- Determine opportunities to redesign business processes to achieve better results
- Manage and audit master data to ensure proper maintenance and procedures
- Troubleshoot and assist users; escalate problems to service providers, IT, or management as needed
- Serve as primary day-to-day business/technical contact for technology service providers and distribution/transportation teams
- Work with internal departments to source/order devices and with Finance to review/process cell phone invoices and resolve billing issues
- Assist in distribution center vehicle management and spearhead initiatives to improve system functionality
- Build productive working relationships, assist junior staff, escalate issues, comply with company policies, and assist with various projects as assigned
- Ability to travel as necessary to meet supply chain systems demands
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2 - 5 years' operations (distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing) experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Proficient in SAP, SQL, VBA, Tableau and MS Office Suite
- Experience in Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Vehicle Routing and Scheduling (VRS), Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)/on-board computers, various mobile applications
- Open and willing to learn new products/technologies
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data to develop business cases
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global team environment
- Initiative and drive for results
- Knowledge of transportation, supply chain management, and procurement processes
- Good customer focus and team negotiation skills
- Ability to travel as necessary
