About the role
- Manages multiple, large complex projects with $30M+ budgets and ensures projects deliver on time, on budget, and within scope
- Utilizes a broad understanding of project governance activities and tools in the delivery of projects and management of project risks
- Executes general processes associated with change controls, approvals, and information exchange involving both internal and external stakeholders and subcontractors
- Defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships of a project team and delegates tasks
- Mitigates scope, schedule, and cost risks both internally and with customers and drives Project Change Notices (PCN)
- Supports the development of departmental budgets and business plans and engages with Project Accountants
- Evaluates and compares material handling alternatives and technologies when supporting the design and implementation of solutions
- Leads external and/or internal projects or work streams, provides consulting for problem resolution, and ensures client acceptance of agreed deliverables
- Provides leadership as a Resource Manager and develops organizational goals, objectives, and staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or 13+ years of work experience in one of the following disciplines: industrial, mechanical, or civil engineering; industrial or construction management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and ability to develop and manage project budgets and perform the level of financial analysis to evaluate a project
- Supreme level project management skills, demonstrated through requisite knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and teams remotely
- Experience managing multiple, large complex projects with $30M+ budgets
- Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), Control Systems, and Warehouse Management
- Advanced client management, presentation development and delivery abilities
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint
- Exceptional problem solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
