About the role
- Lead Guardian OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementation
- Configure, plan, and manage implementation of system hardware upgrades
- Function as a technical lead on larger projects while planning projects and implementations
- Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the NonStop systems including client related connectivity, application, and platform issues
- Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence to auditors (internal and external) for PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
- Work with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of products/technology solutions
- Perform Tier 3 Security functions such as build and support NonStop security infrastructure
- Provide troubleshooting support to level 1 & level 2 support groups
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade NonStop systems including operating systems and applications (Guardian, Safeguard, NS Java, NS7X (X-Series), XP7 Storage, EMC Data Domain, Comforte, XYPRO security suites, Gravic, Shadowbase, MQ, Control-M, Prognosis, NCI-Control & Compare)
- Collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasionally work non-standard/overnight hours
Requirements
- 6+ years of NonStop systems engineering experience in an enterprise environment
- Experience with Guardian OS as it relates to network and software release planning
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
- Strong knowledge of Guardian operating system, system utilities (TACL, MEASURE, TMF), and NonStop software and utilities (preferred)
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and security protocols (preferred)
- Experience with tools like Splunk, Prognosis, and Moogsoft (preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant compliance standards (e.g. PCI, FFIEC, SOC) (preferred)
- Ability to pass standard background checks and potential U.S. Government background checks for federal contracts
- Willingness to be on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
