About the role
- Lead all Unisys ClearPath MCP OS, Network, and major software release planning and implementations
- Configure, plan, and manage system hardware upgrades and act as technical lead on larger projects
- Implement and maintain procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
- Perform technical research and analyses to assess system performance and capacity
- Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on mainframes, including client connectivity, application, and platform issues
- Research products, solutions, and technologies and create presentations and documentation
- Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence for CAS, PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommend performance improvement solutions
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on product and technology application
- Support deployment of technology architecture and total system solutions
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience on Unisys MCP systems
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering in an MCP operating system environment, EMC disk subsystems, Work Flow Language (WFL), Communication Management System (COMS)
- 5+ years of experience with Windows, Data and Structure Definition Language (DASDL), and Open Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP)
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, including designing and implementing scalable solutions
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
- COBOL experience (preferred)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to be on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
- Ability to use a computer and audio equipment
