About the role
- The Talent Sourcing Specialist delivers quality candidate leads across various channels in applicable markets.
- Utilizes approved recruiting sources, methods, and processes to attract, identify, and deliver candidates for identified opportunities as necessary to achieve targets and as directed.
- Screens active and passive candidates who align with the targeted candidate profiles.
- Works proactively to fill the recruiting pipeline funnel by conducting target searches, locating leads, capturing and updated systems with complete and accurate information, monitoring chat features, and engaging in initial discussions with candidates to generate warm leads.
- Shares feedback on trends, best practices, and opportunities with peers and business partners.
- Executes sourcing techniques and approaches for candidates across specific channels.
- Determines eligibility and interest levels of candidates utilizing established screening and interviewing techniques.
- Implements multiple passive recruiting methods utilizing internet resources, job boards, cold calling, and other outbound activity.
- Monitors and acts on inbound activity in a timely manner.
- Ensures that the opportunities are being presented accurately, professionally, with integrity, and with the perspectives of the candidate and company in mind.
- Utilizes approved materials, technology, and vendors.
- Maintains expected compliance relating to legal regulations within the company strategy.
- Utilizes tracking systems to monitor and record sourcing activities.
- Maintains up-to-date records of activity, interactions, and candidate statuses using approved systems and methods.
- Utilizes reporting to track and evaluate results.
- Reports any system, process, or data issues in a timely manner.
- Participates in ongoing development to identify new techniques to source for candidates across a variety of channels and platforms.
- Maintains up-to-date skills and knowledge for positioning the value proposition, overcoming objectives, identifying candidate eligibility, and other aspects of sourcing for desirable candidates.
- Provides relevant intel and feedback on programs, vendors, systems, competitors, and markets.
- Collaborates closely with peers and people leader to identify and share best practices and opportunities related to sourcing and the candidate experience.
- Provides feedback including suggestions for new resources, vendors, and capabilities, along with the effectiveness of any existing.
- Partners with leadership to continuously research and test new techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships with colleagues.
- Assists the manager with training and developing peers.
- Physical actions include sitting or standing for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of job-related experience required, preferably related to sourcing and recruiting business owners or within the insurance industry.
- Experience utilizing internal applicant tracking systems and/or effective prospecting methods (example, cold-calling/emailing) preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain networking relationships and centers of influence.
