Procurement

• Accountable for the sourcing of a defined set of raw materials in North America.
• Work with all Stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies for key raw materials in alignment with Procurement and Corporate goals.
• Anticipate and manage sourcing barriers and issues; manage spend and find savings.
• Develop and support negotiation strategies and competence.
• Maintain communication with key partners inside and outside the various BL organizations that consume the defined set of raw materials.
• Responsible to understand and balance the interests, capabilities and needs of these partners as stakeholders in the sourcing of products.
• Create and implement formal written strategies for select high-impact raw materials, in alignment with all key internal stakeholders with a focus on medium- and long-term improvements.
• Develop appropriate supply chain risk management strategies for all raw materials that addresses sources of potential disruption to operations and minimizes these risks while balancing good management of expense and working capital.
• Identify and act on synergies with other Procurement Units within Evonik.

Raw Materials Sourcing Manager – Organic Derivatives

Manager

• Commercial responsibility for product & service offerings of Evonik Interface & Polyurethane Additives business line in the assigned territories within the Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand region
• Conduct relevant business development activities, including but not limited to, market sizing, in-market surveys, opportunity identification & development, and development of business plans
• Develop and implement sales plan in line with defined top-down targets
• Manage direct accounts and distribution channels in the territory; maintenance of forecasts
• Develop and maintain working business relationships with customers, distributors, and other industry stakeholders in the territory
• Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to define and implement key account plans, market segment and product strategies
• Gather and report on relevant market and business information
• Coordinate technical support initiatives, such as trainings and seminars for the assigned accounts/territory
• Coordinate with colleagues responsible for business operations (order-to-cash, supply chain, finance, etc) for effective business operations

Account Manager

• Meet or exceed volume, revenue and margin targets for the territory
• Manage all aspects of customer and market interface in the territory

Customer Support

• Manages all Order-to-Cash processes for import, export, and domestic orders, including samples
• Responsible for all documentation and paperwork in accordance and compliance with US laws and regulations

• Receives and processes customer inquiries and works with Sales and other colleagues on necessary tools and reporting systems
• Manages billing and invoicing to customers, in addition to collections, and sets targets
• Develops goals, analyzes, and acts upon Key Performance Indicators as necessary
• Researches and resolves issues with systems and processes; streamlines as necessary to support growth and organizational initiatives

Head of Customer Service

• Contributes to optimize the HR organization and HR processes & procedure in the SSA Region
• Supports in reviewing/updating and implementing Policies and Procedures for the region, in alignment with corporate and Regional guidelines.
• Takes the lead on development of local policies and procedures for the Sub Saharan (SSA) entity where required.
• Aligns these with local management
• Manages and coordinates HR functions and activities in the SSA region in alignment with the regional MDs
• Interacts with local MDs and MEA HR to develop local HR strategies that support and complement business strategies
• Responsible for workforce planning, staffing, recruiting and onboarding of all staff in Evonik Africa
• Implements performance management and talent development.
• Responsible for the implementation of any skills development plans for employees.
• Supports EMEA HR during job grading and salary band alignment across the SSA.
• Providing SSA annual salary and bonus calculation proposals
• Responsible for employment contracts, offer letters, job descriptions and local legislations of SSA region.
• Co-ordinating and assisting employees on Medical Aid Issues/Co-ordinating Pension Fund issues/ Serve on Pension Fund Committee for SSA
• Overarching responsibility of the management of labour/employee/industrial relations within the SSA region, together with local management and any external supporting parties.
• Management on any disciplinary topics which might arise within SSA, through to completion.
• Fulfilling required HR related administrative elements on HR platforms and tools.
