About the role
- Registered Children's Home Manager for Esland's new Assessment Home (Arley Grange) in Northwich, opening early 2026
- Oversee a two-bed service providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed, therapeutic support
- Deliver security, support and stabilisation to young people in a nurturing and peaceful environment over 12 week placements
- Implement PACE principle of residential care and ensure access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities
- Promote and encourage independence and life skills while ensuring safety and well-being underpin every decision
- Integral part of recruiting staff, preparing the home and liaising with key personnel to meet regulations, statement of purpose and expectations
- Participate in and prepare for Ofsted inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
- Line reports to Regional Assessments Manager and manage care staff day-to-day operations
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children, within the last 5 years (essential)
- At least 12 months experience in a role requiring the supervision and management of care staff (essential)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, England (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, England (highly desirable)
- Previous experience of participating in Ofsted inspections (essential)
- An in-depth knowledge of legislations, regulations and best practice surrounding the care of children and to successfully implement this within your home (essential)
- A full, UK driving licence issued in the UK (essential)
- Right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)
- Candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations (essential)
