About the role
- Provide nurturing, supportive, trauma-informed residential care to children and young people
- Deliver crisis intervention and therapeutic care
- Plan and oversee recreational activities tailored to each child’s interests (cinema, swimming, sports, etc.)
- Support children to achieve positive outcomes and promote equal opportunities; challenge discriminatory behaviour or practice
- Manage shifts according to rota (2 days on, 4 days off, including sleep-ins) and report to the Home Manager
- Participate in BILD-accredited induction training and undertake further qualifications and progression opportunities
Requirements
- Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare qualification and experience of working in Children’s Residential Care
- Full UK driving licence
- The right to work in the UK
- Applicants must be over 21
- Satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks (company will cover the costs)
