About the role
- Field Interviewer role with NatCen, the UK’s largest independent social research organisation
- Visit people in homes to carry out vital research shaping public policy — from healthcare to education
- Using a tablet, guide conversations to collect real insights into daily life in Britain
- You’ll be out knocking on doors — often unannounced
- Some people won’t answer. Some will say no. You’ll face tough moments, but when someone says yes and shares their story, you’ll know you’ve helped influence real change
- What we’re looking for: resilient, confident communicators; independent, self-motivated workers; comfortable using basic tech; people who bounce back after rejection
- Commitment: at least 20 hours/week; DBS check; right to work in UK; laptop/tablet for training

Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence
- Sole use of a car
- Class 1 Business Insurance (you’ll need to purchase this)
- Complete DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
- Access to a laptop or tablet for training
- Commit to at least 20 hours a week including evenings and weekends
- Resilient, confident communicators

- Comfortable using basic tech (+ home WiFi)
