About the role

  • Actively recruit and grow relationships with banks, credit unions, builders and savings & loan organizations to develop new wholesale business
  • Identify and engage new sales opportunities through research, networking, and outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Build strong relationships with target organizations to promote Equity’s services and drive mortgage loan referrals
  • Meet with prospects to showcase Equity’s value using a consultative approach
  • Meet or exceed monthly performance metrics: closed deals, qualified leads, new contacts, and maintain consistent cadence of calls/contacts/meetings
  • Generate and support leads through outbound activity and inbound efforts (e.g., webinars, content creation)
  • Build and manage client relationships throughout the sales lifecycle, including onboarding and strategic growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and partnerships are maintained and growing
  • Represent Equity in the local community and promote products and services
  • Support the company’s “raving fan service” culture through ongoing customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge
  • Adhere to all Federal and State regulations and the company code of ethics
  • Participate in company meetings and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 4-5 years of working knowledge in aspects of mortgage lending sales (e.g., Loan Officer, Credit Union Manager, Account or Members Services Rep)
  • Familiarity with Credit Union or Community Banking environments
  • Proven track record of sales success and resilience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Encompass preferred
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willing to travel up to 1–2 weeks per month
