About the role
- Monitor and report financials in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and tax regulations
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities and support financial processes across the organization
- Execute monthly and quarterly financial closing, budget and forecasting activities
- Support audits and other local compliance activities
- Evaluate business transactions for recognition, valuation and reporting requirements
- Provide input for local and group financial statements to achieve clean audit opinions
- Prepare local statutory reporting, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, explanatory notes and technical datasets
- Assist in preparation of tax accounts and correction postings (payroll, taxes, provisions, accruals)
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
- Prepare and submit BE GAAP reports
- Act as contact for group functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders
- Implement process and policy improvements for month-end and year-end closing
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Financial Management or Accounting
- Min. 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management or within an audit firm
- Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership of a wide range of financial topics
- Excellent communication skills with a strong business partner mindset
- Solid understanding of General Ledger
- Good knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP
- Proficiency in working with SAP ERP systems and reporting tools
- Experience in working with internal and external service providers
- Ability to work independently within strict deadlines
