About the role
- Oversee all sub-ledger functions such as Sales Order, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, General Ledger
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to direct reports, supporting professional development and alignment with organizational goals
- Approve weekly payroll
- Work with third party accounting firms for income tax reporting
- Approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements in a timely manner, consistent with metrics
- Oversee company fixed asset ledger for all physical locations
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration among all teams
- Manage annual physical and asset inventory audits
- Plan, organize and coordinate year-end financial audit requests
- Oversight of weekly KPI reports for Senior Management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or NetSuite is a plus)
- Experience with payroll processing, taxes and managing month end close processes
- Proven success in effectively leading teams
- Strong analytical skills, communication and professional business acumen
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
- Experience with budgets and forecasts
