About the role
- Manage and grow sales within an assigned territory by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, distributors, and partners
- Serve as the technical expert during sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer meetings
- Understand customer requirements and tailor solutions to meet their business needs
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to address technical questions and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and presentations
- Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote company products
- Know the latest industry developments, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ Proven years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably in manufacturing, software, or electronics
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex products and solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mentality (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities (preferred)
- Experience with consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches (preferred)
