About the role
- Drive sales growth within an assigned territory, developing key customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory business plan and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives
- Identify and engage new business opportunities and present and demonstrate products to physicians and hospital personnel
- Conduct clinical in-services, training sessions, and deliver product education to healthcare professionals
- Present sales, revenue and realistic forecasts to senior sales/management team
- Build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with key customers and healthcare providers and address customer inquiries
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic territory planning and account segmentation
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product features, clinical evidence, and appropriate patient selection criteria
- Partner with marketing, product management, and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging and timely product availability
- Accurately document and analyze sales activities, pipeline status, and account information in CRM systems; generate regular performance reports and forecasts
- Adhere to company policies, compliance standards, and healthcare facility requirements; secure and maintain vendor credentials
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities and perform other duties as assigned; act as primary liaison between the company and its customers to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, or related field preferred)
- At least 5+ years of successful outside sales experience, including a minimum of 2+ years in medical device quota-based sales
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex healthcare settings
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting tools
- Experience in cardiac rhythm management, structural heart, or advanced cardiac therapies
- Familiarity with cardiac imaging and hospital decision-making processes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively influence the target audience
- Ability to develop physician champions and navigate complex account environments
- Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, including but not limited to healthcare facilities, industry events, and EBR office(s); may include weekend, overnight, and international travel
- A valid driver’s license is required; compliance with applicable driving and state regulations is mandatory
- Ability to secure and maintain vendor credentials to gain access for sales activities and client support
- Physical requirements: stand, walk and sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 20 pounds; vision (close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus); subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, and moderate noise levels
