About the role
- Design and implement complex SAP ecosystem landscapes including high availability and disaster-tolerant configurations
- Provide SAP Basis support across multiple products (PO/PI/CRM/Portal/BW/BI/Solution Manager/Java systems)
- Perform SAP upgrades: version upgrades, patches, kernel migrations
- Handle daily SAP administration: transport processing, profile management, performance troubleshooting
- Manage Oracle and MS-SQL RDBMS tasks including design, implementation, upgrades, restore, recovery and refresh
- Execute Solution Manager tasks: SLD/LMDB management, technical monitoring, EWA setup and troubleshooting
- Conduct performance tuning, provisioning, data migration, virtualization and replication activities
- Configure storage, remote access tools, backup/infrastructure and hardware setups
- Set up cluster and high availability across multi-data-center environments
- Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve incidents and service requests; coordinate with other teams
- Implement and execute change requests and produce RCAs for service improvements
- Lead and co-train other Storage/Platform resources and provide escalation support
Requirements
- Design and implementation of complex SAP EcoSystem landscapes inclusive of high availability and disaster tolerant configurations
- SAP Basis support for multiple product set inclusive of PO / PI / CRM / Portal / BW / BI / Solution Manager/Java systems
- SAP upgrade experience for product management inclusive of version upgrade / patches / kernel migrations
- SAP Daily administration inclusive of transport processing / profile management / performance troubleshooting
- Oracle RDBMS experience from design / implementation, upgrade to support and daily management
- Oracle restore, recovery and refresh (mandatory)
- MS-SQL RDBMS experience from design / implementation, upgrade to support and daily management
- MS-SQL restore and refresh (mandatory)
- Solution Manager expertise: version, patch upgrade, SLD upgrade, SLD, LMDB, Technical monitoring, EWA setup and troubleshooting
- Good to have: SAP HANA and other RDBMS
- Administration of performance tuning and optimization, provisioning, data migration, virtualization, replication
- Knowledge of storage tools, methodologies and protocols
- Familiarity with remote access tools (PCAnywhere, VNC, Terminal Server, Citrix) or management consoles
- Backup/Infrastructure/Applications experience
- Broad networking knowledge: Active Directory Services, Lightweight Directory Services, DNS, DHCP
- Cluster and high availability setup in a multi data center environment
- Backup and general hardware design, setup and configuration
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyse and resolve incidents and service requests and coordinate with various groups
- Ability to implement and execute change requests completely and accurately
- Ability to provide RCAs, error documentation, workaround and resolution plans
- Able to lead and co-train other Storage/Platform resources
- Provides comprehensive and quality support for all technical, process-related and escalation activities
- Knowledge/requirement: SAP System refreshes, Kernel patching, Support package, SOLMAN upgrade, Portal upgrade, SAP Certificates renewal, Printer Setup
- Experience with ServiceNow
