Lead a Privacy Engineering team of 5–7 engineers to build privacy-first infrastructure, automation, and user-facing controls.
Work on critical systems including data subject request (DSR) processing, data classification, cookie consent, and privacy settings.
Evolve Dropbox’s AI-era privacy posture by leveraging automation and machine learning to anticipate risks and prevent privacy-invasive events.
Partner with Engineering, Legal, Security, and Product to embed privacy into product foundations and ensure global compliance.
Grow and develop a high-impact engineering team, set direction, anticipate scaling challenges, and craft technical and product strategy.
Participate in on-call rotations as required by team services.
Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum of 8 years of industry experience as a software developer, including 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams as an Engineering Manager.
Experience implementing or leading efforts around data minimization, differential privacy, data subject rights, and secure data architecture.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, legal, security, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business and compliance needs.
Experience managing teams supporting and operating services in production.
