About the role
- Zoox is developing autonomous driving and a unique vehicle tailored to autonomous driving
- Report to the Director of Vehicle Program Management and lead program management activities for the delivery of Zoox's future L3 vehicle program
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Vehicle Development and teams across Zoox to plan and deliver vehicle program
- Define program milestones, aligning deliverables and success criteria across all stakeholders
- Build and maintain an achievable, data-driven program schedule with input from core team members
- Track progress through regular checkpoints and adjust plans to keep the program on track
- Drive issue resolution by providing solutions, implementing mitigations, and escalating when needed
- Ensure teams are resourced effectively to meet program goals
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in vehicle engineering or program management in the automotive industry
- Experience in vehicle development at all stages: ideation, design, release, prototyping, validation, launch and production
- Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (e.g., Gantt charts)
- Bonus: Proven track-record in managing complex cross-functional projects
- Bonus: Proficiency using JIRA to capture and track engineering development tasks
- Bonus: Experience in a highly dynamic start-up environment
