About the role
- Lead the development and negotiation of provider contracts to optimize market access for solid tumor products such as Tevimbra, ensuring terms are favorable and compliant with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support contract execution and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and implement contracting strategies that are aligned with overall business plans and objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis on provider landscape and dynamics such as provider's net cost recovery (NCR), reimbursement dynamics (e.g., buy-and-bill), and average sales price (ASP) implications to inform contracting decisions and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assist in evaluating new pricing & contracting approaches to inform and shape pipeline asset price potential and implications.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal and Compliance to ensure all provider contracts comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards, including state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Monitor and report on contract performance, using data-driven insights to make adjustments and improve outcomes.
- Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in contracting strategies and processes.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure contracting strategies align with organizational goals.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree; Advanced degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Biological Sciences with 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech and/or healthcare industry.
- 4+ years of direct experience in market access insights, analytics, provider pricing and contracting strategy in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Expertise in market access dynamics, provider landscape and economics (e.g., buy-and-bill), or related fields with a focus on provider segments.
- Strong understanding of provider and distribution channels (commercial, government, SP, GPOs, etc.).
- Experience in commercial launches is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute market access pricing and contracting strategies for new products.
- Strong presentation and communication skills - with exceptional aptitude for learning quickly and ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to network across a broad internal and external matrix organization and the skills necessary to form strong, productive partnerships and build consensus and acumen.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to understand broader market dynamics and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to evaluate the impact of regulatory, legislative, or contracting changes on pricing and business performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills to leadership and C-suite management and external stakeholders.
- Experience in solid tumor, IV products, buy-and-bill is preferred.
- Flexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to effectively deal with ambiguity.
