About the role
- Lead a team of 5-7 engineers in the Persistent Systems Organization developing and managing Dropbox's primary online metadata storage system
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and craft technical and product strategy
- Foster a culture of innovation and develop a healthy, collaborative team culture
- Grow and develop engineers, set direction, and conduct thoughtful long-term planning to address strategic and scaling challenges
- Ensure team delivers high-impact output and participate in on-call rotations for operating services in production
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience as a software developer
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams as an Engineering Manager
- Experience managing teams supporting and operating services in production
