About the role
- Develop, edit, and manage technical documents, from engineering manuals to regulatory reports, covering propulsion, avionics, flight operations, and compliance.
- Create and maintain a structured repository/knowledge base of documentation for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with aerospace engineers, flight test teams, pilots, and compliance specialists to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Translate technical jargon into user-friendly content while maintaining precision and regulatory compliance.
- Implement documentation best practices, templates, and frameworks to standardize and streamline communication across teams.
Requirements
- Experience in technical writing, preferably in aerospace, UAVs, or engineering.
- Ability to grasp highly technical concepts and translate them into structured, easy-to-understand documentation.
- Strong proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, LaTeX, DITA, or similar).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents simultaneously.
- Fluency in English.
- Background in engineering, aerospace, or physics (nice-to-have).
- Experience working with regulatory and compliance documentation (ITAR, EASA, SORA, etc.) (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with Markdown, HTML, or XML for structured documentation (nice-to-have).
