About the role
- Assist South Finance Director in overseeing major donor fundraising efforts in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas
- Create and implement a region-specific finance plan and support execution of principal and surrogate travel and fundraising events
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with top donors in the region
- Identify hosts and execute events with principals and surrogates in the region
- Provide support for execution of travel in the region including scheduling donor meetings and creating briefing memos
- Assist in the execution of fundraising events in the region
- Assist the Regional Finance Director in maintaining donor relationships
- Perform research to identify prospective new major donors and re-engage lapsed donors
- Create and manage a tracking system for all donors
- Create and manage a finance email program to keep major donors informed and engaged
- Provide support to the Regional Finance Director as needed
- Based in Washington, DC and reports directly to the South Finance Director
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 2-3 years of related work experience
- Detail oriented and proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of NGP database preferred
- Experience working on campaign or political committee fundraising teams for 1-2 cycles preferred
- Some travel required
