About the role

  • Partner with the CFO and executive team on company strategy, capital allocation, and long-term financial planning.
  • Own financial forecasting, scenario planning, and business modeling for all major initiatives.
  • Deliver actionable insights to guide decisions around growth, product investment, hiring, and international expansion.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, FP&A, budgeting, tax, and treasury.
  • Develop scalable systems for financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure full transparency into financial performance, risks, and levers across the company.
  • Collaborate with GTM teams to connect financial planning with topline growth and support product and operations with cost modeling and pricing frameworks.
  • Work closely with HR and Operations to align financial strategy with headcount planning and team scalability.
  • Lead financial due diligence and modeling for potential investors, board meetings, or M&A activity.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for auditors, legal counsel, banking partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the company’s financial integrity while balancing innovation and responsible risk-taking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in finance leadership roles, with experience at high-growth SaaS, fintech, or B2B technology companies.
  • Strong background in FP&A, strategic finance, accounting, and treasury.
  • Proven track record in building financial infrastructure for a scaling company, preferably in global or multi-entity environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence at the board level while empowering execution on the ground.
  • Analytical mindset with a clear understanding of how financial inputs affect business outcomes.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling finance teams across regions or functions.
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese; experience working in global organizations is a plus.
