About the role
- Numeral is building the automation backbone for internet commerce, starting with sales tax compliance.
- Senior Sales Manager (Commercial / Mid-Market) to lead and grow the mid-market AE team, managing 5+ AEs and owning the mid-market revenue segment.
- Blend hands-on execution with strategic leadership: coaching reps, building repeatable processes, forecasting, and experimentation.
- Lead and scale a team of 5+ mid-market AEs responsible for new ARR generation.
- Own quarterly revenue targets and pipeline forecasts for the commercial segment.
- Coach and ramp AEs through structured onboarding, training, and real-time development.
- Build repeatable playbooks for outbound and inbound sales motions.
- Create structure in ambiguous environments and partner closely with RevOps to optimize systems.
- Drive sales execution excellence using tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Nooks.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to close feedback loops and improve GTM alignment.
- Operate as a player-coach when needed and grow the team and scope.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SaaS sales management experience with strong IC background
- Proven experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Deep familiarity with velocity / transactional sales cycles (30–60 day deals, multiple touchpoints)
- Track record managing SMB to Mid-Market AEs with strong results
- Experience building structure, process, and onboarding/training systems from scratch
- Excellent coaching, 1:1 development, and hiring instincts
- Familiar with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger)
- Experience selling to finance personas (CFOs, Controllers, FP&A, etc.)
- Fluency with tools: Salesforce, Outreach, Nooks
- Start-up experience at companies
- Fintech or e-commerce GTM background
- Previous Tax related experience
