Work with the research team at Queen’s University as a Legal Intern for 4-5 weeks or 160-200 hours to produce publications related to labor and employment laws
Assist with the development of legal compliance technology, including drafting reports on legal doctrines
Conduct annotation of case law and consult on key legal questions in the dispute resolution process
Use modern research methods in legal and policy research, including empirical methods
Collaborate with Deel Lab experts and industry partners as needs arise
Research topics including worker classification, legal status of contractors, collective bargaining rights, global pension systems for contractors, social security and healthcare benefits for contractors, legal remote-work issues, and value of remote work
Requirements
Completed law school or currently enrolled in law school
Great attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong understanding of the local Vietnamese Legal system
Experience with legal and policy research
Proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Outstanding writing skills in English & Vietnamese
Knowledge of labor law would be appreciated
Availability to work 4-5 weeks (160-200 hours) as a Legal Intern
