Review and interpret advisory packs to ensure comprehensive understanding of country-specific payroll and legislative requirements.
Lead and support discussions with compliance and local experts to clarify legislative and functional needs.
Configure payroll system solutions, including back-end configuration and programming language calculations for pay elements, statutory rates, codes, and country-specific fields.
Create specifications and development tickets for payroll calculations and features.
Document configuration for knowledge-sharing, audit purposes, and training materials.
Execute functional and regression tests using predefined test books and acceptance criteria.
Partner with Business Analysts and QA to validate that builds meet legislative and compliance standards.
Log and document test results, escalating defects or compliance gaps; support UAT and resolve defects during testing cycles.
Work closely with Solution Designers, Product Architects, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver scoped requirements; oversee task delivery and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Lead post-deployment reviews to ensure smooth handover to stakeholders.
Build expertise in global payroll, HR, and financial systems and actively seek mentorship and feedback to grow.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll configuration, including back-end configuration and payroll calculation programming.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, HR/Payroll, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of payroll elements, codes, formulas, statutory rates, and country-specific requirements.
Experience analysing advisory information and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level, including lookups and formulas).
Experience with report writing tools (preferred).
Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and team collaboration practices.
Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
