About the role

  • Oversee successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients.
  • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding clients through setup and migration.
  • Offer ongoing support and training to clients.
  • Organize and run kick off meetings; create, maintain and manage project plans.
  • Support project review calls, coordinate project streams, manage scope changes and delivery schedules.
  • Define and set-up client payroll processes and data requirements; manage payroll calendars.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation.
  • Define, agree and configure interfaces, reports and systems configurations for parallel and live payroll for month 1 and 2.
  • Work with the client for go-live transition, sign-off and documentation; generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data.
  • Map GL reports if required.
  • Act as point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client.
  • Set priorities autonomously and report status to senior leadership; escalate issues as necessary.
  • Schedule and attend weekly client calls to report on project status, identifying risks, actions, issues and dependencies.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Gather key requirements from clients and guide them through technical payroll aspects.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather payroll requirements.
  • Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws; keep up-to-date with changes.
  • Oversee migration of payroll data from legacy systems; ensure accuracy and security.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans; implement change management strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location.
  • Experience with payroll systems and software.
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
