About the role
- Deel is an all-in-one payroll and HR platform supporting global teams in 150+ countries
- Responsible for analyzing complex data to uncover insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making
- Design, implement and deploy models that drive business outcomes and optimize processes across Product, Marketing, and Operations
- Build and maintain datasets, perform data cleaning, feature engineering, modeling and experimentation
- Create online and offline demonstrations of capabilities and build end-to-end ML pipelines
- Conduct reproducible research and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to deliver algorithmic solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years background and experience in data/backend engineering, ideally in production environments
- High proficiency in Python and its data science stack
- 2+ years hands-on experience in applied algorithmic research (information retrieval, text processing, computer vision, computational linguistics, machine learning)
- Track record of good written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
- A master’s degree or higher
- Experience in NLP is a plus
- Experience building end-to-end machine learning pipelines, feature engineering, data cleaning, modeling, experimentation, and reproducible research
- Apply software engineering practices to research code and infrastructure
