About the role

  • Establish and continually evolve Day One’s vision for earned measurement, ensuring our frameworks stay ahead of industry shifts and client needs.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing measurement team; invest in training and upskilling to embed comms measurement into agency culture.
  • Serve as senior counsel to clients, including direct interfacing with senior executives; translate complex data into clear, compelling insights.
  • Create and implement cutting-edge measurement frameworks connecting earned, owned, and paid media to business outcomes.
  • Evolve and manage a modern, flexible measurement toolstack; stay ahead of emerging tools and approaches.
  • Identify and integrate AI and automation tools into measurement workflows to enhance speed, scale, and insights.
  • Lead internal education initiatives to ensure comms team fluency in measurement principles and reporting best practices.
  • Represent Day One externally through organizations, panels, publications, and events to build thought leadership.
  • Partner with comms, creative, digital, and strategy leads to embed measurement thinking into campaign design and execution.
  • Drive the style and clarity of reporting frameworks prioritizing storytelling, design thinking, and executive-friendly dashboards.
  • Serve as a key voice on the Comms Senior Leadership Team, integrating measurement into team-wide priorities and growth strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, media intelligence, analytics, or related fields, with a focus on measurement and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Deep understanding of earned media measurement frameworks and hands-on experience designing bespoke reporting systems.
  • Strong grasp of social, influencer, and digital analytics and how they intersect with PR and brand reputation.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and data visualization tools to enhance reporting efficiency and insight generation.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to senior executives—turning data into strategy, and strategy into action.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of building and inspiring teams.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, testing new tools, and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presenter.
  • Ability to travel periodically to engage with clients, attend senior-level forums, and represent Day One externally.
