About the role

  • Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, used by millions to accept payments and grow revenue.
  • Stripe is growing fast and needs operations to scale; hiring an experienced Project Manager for People Operations to drive organizational change.
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects and initiatives of varying complexity; manage some end-to-end and represent People Ops on broader working groups.
  • Balance long timelines with quick turnarounds; use organization, attention to detail, relationship building, influencing, strategy and tactical execution to drive impact.
  • Responsibilities include tackling ambiguous questions, developing and implementing project plans, optimizing workflows, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, programs, and process improvements; establish effective project governance and align milestones with team standards.
  • Prepare materials for leadership and stakeholders; foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement within People Ops.

Requirements

  • Have 7+ years of experience in project management, business operations, strategy, or consulting, with at least 2 years operating within an HR team at a large or scaling company.
  • A proven track record of navigating complexity and driving results with a balance of urgency and thoughtfulness.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities and a proven track record of building trust and driving alignment across teams, including People teams, Systems, Finance, Legal, and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset aimed at informing decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, gSuite), key concepts (e.g., scoping, requirements, testing), and multiple methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall, scrum).
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred: Experience with change management frameworks (e.g. Prosci ADKAR® Model).
  • Preferred: Experience building and deploying enablement and training materials.
  • Preferred: Experience across HR systems (e.g. Salesforce, Workday, Greenhouse, Retool).
  • Preferred: Experience working with AI tools to increase productivity.
  • Preferred: Advanced Mac OS and Google suite skills (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
