Provide Datacom and the customer with network solutions, solution implementation and timely updates while maintaining customer service and team collaboration
Work across several client accounts in an agile secure environment to provide security and network solutions that meet or exceed ISM requirements and relevant ISO standards
Provide 24x7 networking technical support to Network Management Centre clients; monitor network availability and performance focusing on outage detection, analysis, resolution and reporting
Assist on customer projects such as circuit changes, site moves and rolling out IOS upgrades using automated tools
Conduct testing, implementation, monitoring and tuning of networking software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues
Participate in an on-call roster with evening and after-hours work as agreed with the customer
Work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week
Requirements
NZ citizen or permanent resident (Security Requirements: NZ Citizens and Residents Only)
2+ years working in a professional services environment
2+ years networking experience (coding in Perl desirable)
Developing knowledge of Networking and Firewalling covering Datacentres, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
Understand the concepts of networking and the security associated with networking
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Achieved or working towards tertiary qualifications in Computer Science
Willingness to work on-call roster including evenings and after-hours
