About the role
- Conduct test cases for localized content and software
- Identify localization bugs and linguistic issues
- Report bugs via an internal bug-tracking system with clear reproduction steps
- Verify fixes once implemented
- Combine linguistic and technical work (proofreading and QA testing)
- Test web-based systems and applications, including Mac OS X and iOS platforms
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize and resolve issues
- Work on-site Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) in North East Austin, TX
- Perform tasks as part of a W-2 contract on a 6-month project
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Slovenian (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience working in translation
- Tech savvy, with experience testing web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS
- Ability to prioritize linguistic issues and distinguish between must-fix and nice-to-have
- Experience working with test cases and test scripts
- Experience with bug tracking systems
- Ability to clearly articulate reproduction steps and communicate critical information
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with very diverse teams
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team ethic
- Valid work authorization for the US with no need for sponsorship
- Preferred backgrounds: Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Writing, Translation and/or Localization
