Assist with the development and execution of sustainable packaging solutions for Shure's audio product portfolio
Catalog and update existing packaging parts and documentation
Identify opportunities for consolidation of existing parts
Work directly with packaging suppliers to validate existing documentation and parts
Create fully defined 3D models and associated 2D documentation using CAD software (Siemens NX and ArtiosCAD)
Endeavor to reduce the environmental impact of Shure packaging and monitor sustainable packaging performance metrics (cost, carbon footprint, waste reduction)
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging sustainable packaging technologies
Support ongoing production/manufacturing via the engineering change process as needed
Support Senior and Staff Packaging Engineers as needed
Requirements
In-process of a Bachelor’s in Packaging Engineering or Packaging Science
Previous packaging internship experience a plus
Knowledge of packaging materials and structures, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics
Possess an eagerness for continued design skills growth and passion to apply them to develop packaging for audio products
Familiarity with packaging specific software such as ArtiosCAD and Cape Pack Palletizing Software a plus
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and cross functional team environment (including global team members)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
