Account Executive

• Primary - Source and close new business in your vertical
• Own a quarterly new-business number for retention and digital products.
• Build and work a partner ecosystem - Klaviyo, Shopify Plus, retention and CRO tech, AI-search and SEO platforms - as a durable referral engine along with a vertical focus defined during your first 30 days (subscription products, fashion, etc).
• Represent Darkroom at industry events and conferences in your vertical (K:BOS, BrightonSEO / MozCon, CXL Live, MAICON, emerging GEO/AEO events, Shoptalk, eTail), and build the local/in-market relationships that surface deals.
• Develop and pursue a named target ('whale') list of brands that fit your services.
• Field and close inbound that arrives in your vertical.
• Lead the full commercial process: scoping, pricing, proposal, and close.
• Work with our marketing team to understand inbound strategy across content creators, seo, and other deal sources.
• Primary - Own the upsell & cross-sell motion
• Run a standing weekly expansion meeting with the Managing Directors of your departments and Will Margaritis (SVP, Strategy), where you work the client base for upsell and cross-sell opportunities and drive the flagged deals to close.
• The MDs surface the opportunity from delivery insight; Will clears account health and capacity; you own the commercial motion and the close.
• Proactively identify expansion through client conversations, performance data, and account signals - you are the person the account team calls when an opportunity emerges.
• Secondary - Vertical fluency and onboarding
• Maintain deep, current command of Darkroom's retention and digital service catalog and the platforms behind it.
• Be present on onboarding calls for new clients in your vertical to establish the expansion relationship from day one.
• Maintain clean pipeline documentation in HubSpot and Notion (Sourced By, Closed By, Origination, deal stages) - comp is calculated off these fields.

Account Executive, Retention – Digital Products

Data Analyst

• Design the analytical models and metric logic the agent reasons with — contribution margin (CM3), acquisition truth (aMER, NCAC), cohort LTV/payback, ad spend efficiency and marginal-return analysis, incrementality testing (geo lifts, conversion-lift, MMM calibration) — from raw platform data to decision-ready insight.
• Define the schemas that encode marketing tradecraft: how creative, channel, financial, and customer data connect into a queryable picture of a brand.
• Own accuracy and judgment — what's load-bearing vs. noise, where attribution lies, how to compute metrics that survive operator scrutiny.
• Spec the model; partner with data eng to build the pipeline and the AI team to wire it into agent skills.
• Guide incrementality testing strategy across Darkroom's paid media programs — geo holdouts, matched-market tests, and conversion-lift studies — and run the power analysis to size tests correctly before spend is committed.
• Support MMM strategy, vendor evaluation, and model calibration where programs need it.
• Partner with Paid Media and Growth Strategy teams to design tests up front and translate results into clear, executive-ready budget recommendations.

Associate Director, Data Strategy & Analytics

Director

• With support from the Paid Media MD, build Darkroom's programmatic media capability across Amazon DSP, CTV, OLV, RMNs, display, and high-impact media.
• Lead strategy, planning, activation, optimization, and measurement for programmatic campaigns across key client accounts.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Amazon DSP, retail media, streaming video, connected TV, online video, and programmatic buying strategy.
• Develop test plans that connect programmatic investment to business outcomes, not just impressions, reach, or platform-reported conversions.
• Partner with Analytics and Growth Strategy to design incrementality-minded test structures across geo holdouts, matched-market tests, exposure-log measurement, clean rooms, and lift studies.
• Build clear client-facing narratives around the role of programmatic in a broader growth system.
• Evaluate programmatic partners, publishers, DSPs, RMNs, and measurement vendors.
• Establish programmatic best practices, SOPs, QA standards, pacing rules, and reporting expectations.
• Collaborate with Creative to define channel-specific creative requirements across video, display, high-impact, and RMN environments.
• Create case studies that prove programmatic's incremental impact and support future new business.
• Educate the broader Paid Media team on programmatic strategy, terminology, platform capabilities, measurement expectations, and client use cases.
• Help define the long-term roadmap for building a programmatic practice inside Darkroom.
• Work closely with the Shadow product team to enhance Shadow's programmatic backbone.
• Step in on Paid Social campaign management and optimization across Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and Pinterest when programmatic priorities are lighter, acting as a flexible resource for the broader Paid Media team.

Associate Director, Programmatic

Associate

• Work directly with a Retention Marketing Manager to execute data-driven email and SMS strategies for our DTC/e-commerce clients.
• On a daily basis, you will execute tasks for clients including writing, proofing, and scheduling email and SMS campaigns.
• You’ll work directly with clients to manage the revision and approval process of their emails and SMS messages
• On a monthly basis, you’ll develop creative campaign concepts for your client's retention marketing calendars.
• You’ll work directly with our in-house design team to develop the design approach, ensuring the design vision for campaigns and flows comes to live, and managing the revision and approval process for client emails.
• You’ll produce the copy for your campaign concepts and work directly with the client to gain approval on briefs before sending them to our in-house designers.
• Driven and enjoy coming to the team and clients with new retention marketing ideas.
• Execute automation/flow logic set-up, pop-up builds, and app integrations.

Retention Associate

Operations

• Own the full lifecycle of the Flight Plan from client onboarding through full operational deployment.
• Ensure each client's Flight Plan is properly set up, maintained, and generating actionable insights.
• Monitor the health and accuracy of each client's operational and financial dashboards — including P&Ls, revenue tracking, and margin reporting.
• Proactively identify gaps or inefficiencies in a client's infrastructure and drive resolution.
• Ensure clients are actively using and benefiting from the insights derived from their Flight Plan.
• Build and maintain automations that connect platforms and remove manual work.
• Audit existing automations, catch weak points early, and keep everything running reliably.
• Document workflows and integrations so the team can rely on them without you in the room.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to surface pain points and design fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Experiment with LLMs and emerging tools and translate capability into operational value.
• Help build AI-enhanced workflows that make the team faster and sharper.
• Support leadership in evaluating new platforms and surface clear, well-scoped recommendations.
• Document systems and adoption guidelines to support rollout across the team.

Operations Associate – Data & Technology

Creative Strategist

• Organic Content Strategy: Lead high-tempo content strategy and direction for full-funnel organic programs, typically Instagram and TikTok. Own content pillars, editorial calendars, creative direction, and the briefing process end-to-end.
• Short Form Video Expert: Deliver expert advice, concepts, directions, and briefs to grow audiences and sell products through native short-form video.
• Community and Brand Voice: Own each brand's social voice and presence. Direct community management, trend response, and the rapid-turnaround content that keeps a brand relevant in the feed.
• Data Analysis: Translate a client's brand strategy and platform data into clear, compelling content concepts. This includes metrics like hook retention, watch time, completion rate, engagement rate, saves, shares, follower growth, and comment sentiment. You're super comfortable adapting content to move these numbers.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Brief Designers and Editors on the creation of assets including short-form video, carousels, Stories, motion, and storyboards. You're capable of jumping into Figma to shape up a layout or whip up an edit in CapCut yourself without concern, if need be. This isn't the role for strategy-only folks.
• Executive Presentation: Present content work and channel strategy to stakeholders and clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic rationale.
• Performance Iteration: Monitor platform data and social listening in collaboration with the team to inform content iterations and improve results over time. Identify organic winners worth promoting into paid.
• Team Building: Establish processes, systems, and content frameworks that raise the floor on quality and speed. Continuously refine our Organic Social service so it scales without losing rigor as volume grows.

Director, Creative Strategy – Organic Social

You’re capable of jumping into shape up a design in Figma or whip up an ad yourself without concern, if need be. This isn’t the role for strategy-only folks.
