About the role
- Develop and share insights that drive impact within the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
- Build production management and capacity planning systems to help the business execute and scale
- Define the data language (i.e. KPIs, dashboards, measurement, etc) to ensure your team grasps the underlying truth that drives progress and success
- Facilitate rapid decision making through ad hoc work or by democratizing data/self service (effective BI or user-friendly explores in Looker in partnership with our data engineers)
- Utilize your data super powers to reduce ambiguity and solve problems
- Mentor other analysts and help them grow
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to modernize dental lab operations
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working in data analytics or data science, ideally in a B2B operations setting
- BA/BS in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, operations research or a BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc) with statistics skills
- Excellent SQL skills
- Strong scripting Python skills
- Previous experience building workforce management, capacity modeling, or production planning systems
- Familiarity with operations research and supply chain management concepts
- Strong communication skills and experience communicating results in a way that drives change
- Strong senses of autonomy and ownership
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and statistical skills
- Experience with causal inference, predictive modeling (bonus)
- Interest in working and learning in an earlier stage company (bonus)
- Bias for action and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment (bonus)
- Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists (bonus)
- Experience with Hex/Jupyter, DBT or Data Orchestration (we use Dagster) (bonus)
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States (application asks about work authorization and sponsorship)
