About the role

  • Drive automation end to end by designing, building, and owning technology-enabled workflows that reduce risk and accelerate month-end close
  • Architect and implement automated workflows across the revenue life cycle, quote-to-cash, ASC 606 compliance, and SaaS KPI reporting using tools like NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, and scripting
  • Oversee and optimize month-end close for revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, growth rates)
  • Develop, test, and monitor internal controls to ensure ASC 606 compliance; partner with IT and external auditors to validate system enhancements
  • Collaborate with Order Management, Sales Ops, AR, and FP&A to embed automation and streamline data flows across the quote-to-cash lifecycle
  • Build dashboards and automated reports providing real-time visibility into forecast vs. actual revenue, deferral schedules, and revenue leakage
  • Lead and coach a small team of accounting professionals in automation best practices, process documentation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years focused on revenue recognition in SaaS or technology
  • Hands-on with script-based or low-code automation
  • Advanced Excel skills (macros, Power Query)
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite ARM
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ/CRM
  • Experience integrating financial systems
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 (US GAAP revenue recognition)
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify process bottlenecks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate technical requirements to business stakeholders
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; self-starter and change agent
  • Nice to have: CPA designation or equivalent certification
  • Nice to have: Experience with Python, VBA, or other scripting languages
  • Nice to have: Previous tenure in a high-growth SaaS or eCommerce environment
