About the role

  • Conduct comprehensive research on betting markets, consumer behavior, and industry activity across home markets (Australia, USA, UK) and expansion targets
  • Develop models and frameworks to analyse market trends and project revenue growth opportunities
  • Assist in providing analysis and assessment on new business development opportunities (including M&A)
  • Support new product development and market entry initiatives through feasibility studies and market-fit analysis
  • Review and summarise industry publications, key bulletins, analyst reports and economic data relevant to sports betting, daily fantasy sports and iGaming
  • Assist in compiling evidence and research for license applications and regulatory submissions
  • Provide analytical support to the broader commercial team, including performance dashboards, KPI tracking and ROI analyses
  • Assist in review and negotiation of key commercial contracts, including reviewing supplier performance, contract renewals, service levels and costs analysis
  • Contribute to scenario planning, business casing, and go-to-market strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, law, data analytics, finance and accounting or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into short commercial insights
  • Strong research and data collating capabilities with demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the online sports betting or gaming industries and their commercial frameworks
  • Proficiency in data storage and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Commercially-minded with a strong interest in the gaming and entertainment industry and curiosity about market dynamics
  • Strategy consulting or in-house strategy experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in a regulated industry or contributing to licensing submissions (preferred)
  • Understanding of global wagering markets, especially in Australia, the USA, and/or the UK
