About the role
- Lead and coordinate inter-departmental activities to ensure accurate and timely customer deployments and expansions.
- Manage overall planning, implementation, vendor management and close-out of customer move-ins, migrations and projects.
- Coordinate customer business requirements with Sales Engineering and Data Center Operations and interact regularly with Sales and Marketing.
- Support Sales in pre-sales demonstrations and serve as primary contact for pre/post sales implementation in market.
- Develop project scope of work documents, define project deliverables and project plans, and ensure quality delivery against readiness metrics.
- Verify accuracy of implementations against contracts and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Process customer orders (Power, Cross Connection, cabinets/cages, package deliveries) and manage support resources for accurate work orders.
- Identify and resolve project risks; proactively propose and implement internal process improvements.
- Participate in weekly market calls and promote CoreSite’s culture and guiding principles.
- Track key performance indicators: on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and work order accuracy.
- Travel as needed (~15%) and report to CoreSite’s data center campus for onsite work and customer meetings.
Requirements
- Responsible for the overall planning, implementation/management and close-out of customer move-in, expansion and migration projects.
- Coordinate with other Project Manager to complete multi-market customer deployments; may be responsible for entire multi-market deployment.
- Work with customers, Sales Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Sales to develop project scope of work documents, define project deliverables and project plans.
- Serve as project manager for customer interaction in market, including planning, management, vendor management and completion of customer deployments.
- Verify accuracy of customer implementations against Master Service Agreement/Order Forms and adherence to contractual SLAs.
- Accurately and timely processing of all customer orders (Power, Cross Connection, cage/cabinet builds, and package deliveries).
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle by anticipating customer needs and proactive communication.
- Collaborate with internal business units to evaluate, identify, and resolve project risks.
- Pro-actively identify areas for internal process improvement and collaborate to implement improvements.
- First line of contact for pre/post sales implementation in geographic market.
- Participate on weekly Market calls.

- Superior project management skills; PMP certification required.
- Innovative and influential with ability to drive stakeholders to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments.
- Relevant knowledge of data center IT infrastructure.
- Telecommunications, construction, critical facility build and/or hardware deployment experience a bonus.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance; must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules and overtime as necessary.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis and experience identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Advanced computer skills (primarily Excel and Microsoft Project).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service (minimum requirement).
- Co-location data center or telecommunications experience preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required.
- Salesforce experience a plus.
