About the role
- Lead global Safety by guidance, execution and support to safeguard operations, systems and knowledge in compliance with applicable obligations
- Develop and contribute proposals related to Health & Safety in relevance to the CT strategy and align with stakeholders
- Derive tasks, projects and programs from the CT strategy for Health & Safety focusing on Ergonomics
- Safeguard the ESH Management System for Health & Safety according to internal and external compliance obligations
- Ensure task performance as strategically or operationally required within the CT ESH team and support teamwork
- Gather, analyze and report Safety related performance data and contribute to Performance & Management Reviews
- Identify, gather and report Health & Safety related risks and ensure mitigation actions and preparedness
- Hold global responsibility for ContiTech organization including all CT-related locations and alignment with Business Areas
Requirements
- Academic degree as Mechanical Engineer, Safety Manager/Engineer, ESH Manager or comparable
- Long-term experience in leading or management position
- Knowledge about International Standards (e.g. ISO 45001, OSHA, DGUV)
- Experience as ESH/Safety System Auditor, Lead Auditor qualification (acc. ISO 19011) preferred
- Profound experience in ESH or comparable, preferably in rubber production or comparable industries
- Professional experience in management of Health is preferred
- Business fluent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%)
- Strong team player with collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Structured approach to tasks and projects
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
