About the role
- Process engineering and design
Developing engineer’s cost estimates for water and wastewater projects
Data entry and analysis
Performing and overseeing detailed water/wastewater process engineering design
Applying innovative treatment processes for contaminants
Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications and proposals
Conducting or overseeing field investigations and construction support services
Contributing to multi-disciplinary project teams
Water, wastewater, and soil remedy evaluations, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation
Fieldwork such as site inspections, sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction support services, and O&M (25%)
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation
Environmental regulatory compliance services and permitting
Data analysis and management, including databases, drawings, maps, tables, and figures
Support lead generation, business development, staff development, mentoring
Publishing and visibility at industry conferences
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company sites as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred)
Excellent writing and communication skills (preferred)
Prior research experience in laboratory treatability studies (preferred)
Proficient at Microsoft Excel and other database and statistical analysis software (preferred)
Experience with InfoWater, BioWin, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD and/or AutoCAD (preferred)
Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred)
Field work and overnight travel may be required
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training (preferred)
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, drug and background testing may be required
Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
