About the role

  • Oversee staffing operations for 350+ team members, including shift scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Anticipate staffing needs by analyzing sales trends and event calendars; proactively address gaps.
  • Partner with Event Group managers and Dining/Refreshments teams to deliver staffing solutions for daily operations and major events.
  • Oversee post-onboarding process, orientation, and ongoing training; maintain and track training plans.
  • Identify stretch talent and develop leadership pipeline with management.
  • Maintain detailed event staffing rosters with defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with non-profits and temporary staffing providers to expand workforce flexibility.
  • Manage on-site operations for major events (staff check-in/out, uniform distribution).
  • Enhance staffing resources, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of the Event Group attendance tracker.
  • Manage payroll with precision and timeliness; address payroll inquiries and collaborate with Finance and HR.
  • Manage JIRA workflows for call-offs, shift adjustments, payroll issues, and parking reimbursements; ensure timely updates and resolutions.
  • Report to Joseph Buchanan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Restaurant Management, Hotel Management, Event Planning, or related field—or equivalent proven experience.
  • 5+ years in food and beverage or human resources, with a strong focus on hospitality and operational excellence.
  • Proven experience in staffing operations and scheduling for large teams (350+).
  • Experience analyzing sales trends and event calendars to forecast staffing needs.
  • Experience partnering with event managers and cross-functional teams, including Dining and Refreshments.
  • Experience overseeing post-onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training; ability to maintain training plans.
  • Experience building relationships with non-profit organizations and temporary staffing providers.
  • Experience managing on-site operations for major events including staff check-in/out and uniform distribution.
  • Payroll management experience with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; ability to address payroll inquiries and review overtime reports.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar workflow systems to manage call-offs, shift adjustments, payroll issues, and reimbursements.
  • Strong data-driven reporting and analytical skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving, balanced decision-making, collaboration, continuous improvement mindset, detail-oriented, visionary planning.
