Play a critical role in helping customers and prospects understand the role of content in a modern composable digital landscape
Co-pilot sales opportunities with Account Executives across technical discovery, product presentations, collaborative solution design sessions, interactive trials, and proofs of concept
Build relationships with customer stakeholders to understand needs and become a trusted advisor
Validate and illustrate how Contentful can help customers with digital transformation through customized value-based product demonstrations and proofs of concept
Assist with completion of RFIs, RFPs, and Security questionnaires and liaise with other departments to drive finalization
Relay product feedback from customers and implementation partners to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales
Provide mentorship and be a thought leader within the Sales Engineering function
Travel onsite with customers when necessary and work on internal projects that impact how the Sales Engineering team works and grows
Participate in an immersive onboarding experience, become proficient in the Contentful Demo presentation framework, and learn the competitive landscape
Requirements
A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a comparable field, or equivalent experience
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
The desire to work in a fast-paced environment, across multiple opportunities and teams
3-5 years of sales engineering experience, selling cloud solutions to Marketing, IT, and Development Audiences
Understanding of the Digital Marketing function, the KPIs used to measure success within Marketing, and how content powers a Marketing strategy
Strong presentation skills to clearly and empathetically convey business and technical experience to both marketing-focused and technical-focused personas
A high degree of emotional intelligence to navigate meetings with multiple customer stakeholders
Intellectual curiosity for how technology drives change and how that transfers into business value
(Desirable) 1-3 years designing and delivering digital experiences and/or frontend development (with React, node, NextJS, etc.)
(Desirable) Experience working with a Content Management Platform or similar technology (MarTech)
