About the role
- Partnering and direct facilitation with teams at all levels, from developers to executives
- Learn and communicate organizational and system technical fluency and align with business objectives
- Create and drive project schedules, assign tasks with engineering management, and manage schedule progress
- Manage dependencies within and across Product and Platform Groups from large phases to detailed tasks
- Collaborate with worldwide business units (TAMs, SEs, product management, design, technology teams) to define involvement and expectations
- Proactively track status of project activities and ensure schedules and priorities are met
- Identify, track, and drive resolution of critical issues, escalating when necessary
- Proactively manage daily/weekly project communication and status reporting
- Flexibly work across timezones to coordinate and follow up on work
- Willingness to travel both locally and internationally several times a quarter to support program needs
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience managing programs/portfolios management for software development
- Experience in planning, organizing, managing and tracking engineering work with multiple complex dependencies as part of integrated programs/portfolios at scale (100+ engineers)
- Experience in scaling, leading and inspiring geographically distributed scrum teams (100+ engineers)
- Experience with/exposure to large scale platforms (cloud technologies) and complex inter-dependent technologies
- Experience supporting UI/UX portfolios including design components, user research, wireframing, visual design, and analytics
- Experience with/exposure to foundational web programming languages, front-end frameworks, responsive design, design tools and key design principles (HTML, CSS, Figma, React)
- Proficient in the use of Jira (query/ticket creation, board creation and facilitation)
- Seasoned team coach who manages and alleviates persistent obstacles
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Project Life Cycle Methodologies, specifically Agile/Scrum
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology a plus
- Experience owning a program/portfolio of products/features, scoping requirements, and planning milestones
- Proven track record of mentoring and supporting other program managers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions worldwide
- Attention to detail and ability to make logical, timely decisions
- Ability to traverse between strategic direction and tactical execution
- Demonstrate self-learning capabilities and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to extrapolate context from complex technical conversations and summarize action items and next steps
