Lead cross-functional projects with a medium to high degree of complexity
Oversee the overall health of projects, ensuring requirements are established and met, deliverables are completed and reviewed, and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Manage two or more concurrent projects and contribute to internal working groups or departmental initiatives
Mentor and train other project team members as needed
Develop project plans for schedule, resources, and budget in collaboration with resource managers, team leads, Finance, and executives
Coordinate with project teams to identify issues, risks, and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor and manage project quality to ensure deliverables meet contractual terms, specifications, and organizational standards
Compile and distribute project information, status reports, and portfolio budget expenditures
Interact with senior managers, executives, and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives
Actively contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or 7 years of professional experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification recommended
3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager
1–3 years managing client-facing healthcare IT implementation projects
Experience in other heavily regulated industries, such as financial services, may be considered
Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum)
Ability to manage concurrent project activities across multiple business lines
Beginner to intermediate knowledge of project management
Ability to work under direct or indirect supervision
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
Experience in project monitoring, scope and budget management, resourcing, and use of applicable software
Ability to manage project activities, establish goals and objectives, exercise sound judgment, analyze complex information, develop plans, demonstrate negotiation and facilitation skills, identify risks and gaps, prepare reports, communicate effectively, and mentor others as needed
Ability to travel to conferences, trade events, and customer locations (up to 25%)
Adhere to Information Security and Compliance Programs, including SOC1, SOC2, PCI, and HIPAA
