About the role
- Complete weekly visits to monitor and assess daily operations of each store location for SOP adherence
- Ensure stores are compliant with all cannabis regulations (e.g., METRC, DCC, CDTFA and local ordinances) in partnership with Compliance
- Implement and train store teams to SOP standards to ensure consistent execution across locations
- Optimize inventory management and product flow to minimize shrinkage and ensure salesfloor replenishment
- Perform checks with onsite security to ensure adherence to established guidelines and SOPs
- Establish, train, and monitor best practices in daily inventory management and oversee product inventory location management
- Build strong working relationships with store leadership and inventory teams; create and manage action plans
- Establish priorities and provide direction to retail teams to address operational opportunities
- Direct training, implementation and execution of SOPs; conduct regular evaluations and internal audits including mock DCC audits
- Oversee store cycle counts adjustments monthly and address issues with action plans
- Direct and support staff scheduling to protect customer experience and ensure proper coverage
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback and online reviews; assist with customer engagement strategies
- Partner with leadership to improve scheduling, order fulfillment, and maximize labor efficiency
- Maintain supplies ordering according to budget and seek opportunities to decrease operational expenses
- Assemble and analyze weekly product reports; monitor velocity, sell-through rates, and aging
- Create action plans with Inventory Managers to improve inventory accuracy and manage expired products and waste
- Report concerns to Retail Leadership and Compliance and assist with corrective actions as needed
- Ensure staff are trained on legal and safety practices and that locations operate in compliance at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years supervising non-exempt employees
- Previous experience in a management role with hiring/firing authority preferred
- 3-5 years of senior leadership experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, food service, or a related field
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Must be able to work a variety of hours including mornings, nights, and weekends
- Travel requirements on a weekly and monthly basis between store locations
- Excellent computer and mathematics skills
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills
- Experienced relationship with internal team and external partners
- Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements
- Comfortable learning new technologies
- Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting
- Excellent attention to detail
