About the role
- Work within the technology department as part of a product-focused, cross-functional delivery team
- Bridge the gap between technology and the business and build trusted relationships
- Create and deliver high-quality communications, presentations, and visualisations
- Represent delivery team within broader project and department
- Engage with stakeholders, collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences, share knowledge and influence decisions
- Lead and facilitate structured workshops to identify and prioritise requirements using a range of analysis techniques
- Use agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and shape delivery
- Write high-quality User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to form and prioritise the Product Backlog
- Proactively contribute to the Business Analyst community and support strategic initiatives
- Support and mentor more junior BAs and contribute to service transition and reasonable 2nd line support
Requirements
- Experience working in a similar team as an IT Business Analyst or similar within a complex environment (such as financial services)
- Experience working in cross-functional technology & development teams
- Ability to build effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to draw information out of the system using SQL queries to come up with analytical conclusions
- Working knowledge of Agile software development
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence and challenge effectively
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities within a high demand environment
- Exposure to Financial systems, Share plans administration business or our platform EquatePlus
- A formal qualification within IT Business Analysis, or similar (technical degree) would be advantageous
